Simply passionate about photography

My passion is photography – I have always been totally captivated by the idea of freezing a moment in time and being able to view it endless times. I started out photographing flowers and plants and when I have any free time I love visiting gardens home and abroad. You can view and purchase prints in the gallery. In my blog, Picture It In the Garden, I write about gardens I have visited recently.

When my children came along I inevitably switched to taking pictures of them and discovered another photographic obsession that was to become the main part of my business today! I love photographing children and trying to capture their amazing facial expressions, the way they play, explore and interact with each other. I work in nurseries across Cheshire and also go to clients' homes and photograph the children, mum and dad, grandparents, the family pet! My style is very relaxed and informal. I never pose people against fake backgrounds, preferring to use the surroundings and capture very candid and natural shots that really reflect real personalities and emotions. I also photograph events such as birthday parties, christenings, anniversaries and other special family occasions. It’s lovely to leave the photography in the hands of a professional and be free to enjoy the occasion, knowing that you will have great images by which to remember it.

My approach to weddings is the same as for any special occasion – I concentrate on capturing very natural and candid photographs which re-tell the story of this special day. I offer some very cost effective wedding packages including simple but beautiful and unique photo books.

"A picture is worth a thousand words" and nothing sells your business or product better than great photographs. Visit commercial to find out more.

I love my “job” and nothing gives me greater satisfaction than presenting a client with a photograph that perfectly captures a moment or shows something off to its absolute best. I also love to share my passion for photography with others. I run workshops for beginners and also do one to one sessions – it’s very rewarding to see someone leaving my course brimming with confidence and enthusiasm. The biggest challenge I face is separating work from home life and recognising when everyone around me has just had enough and won’t let me take “just one last picture!”.
